Prime Minister on Legal Fees

The UK's Prime Minister has been hosting talk surrounding the cloudy world of legal fees.

His comments came as part of discussions on personal injury claims that are related to health and safety rules and are sometimes considered to be irresponsible claims. Mr Cameron called this an “albatross around the neck” for many UK businesses, particularly smaller firms that can have major problems if speculative claims are made.

As part of his moves to improve the situation, the Prime Minister has promised to provide exemptiins for self-employed people in certain situations, reduce red tape and limit the costs of no-win, no-fee legal claims. He also encouraged the Health and Safety Executive to bring forward its timetable to consolidate or abolish current regulations.

Toxic metal claims.
